Beyond Culinary Canada – Newfoundland

On July 2, 1992 a moratorium was imposed on the northern fishery ending almost 500 years of cod fishing in Newfoundland and Labrador. Forty thousand people were out of work in a single day. Beyond Culinary is a short documentary exploring how history influences food culture and how food culture influences history.
